The miSAN® V Series combines the incredible speed of disk-to-disk backup with the security of removable tape archives. Using familiar Ethernet components, this D2D2T solution provides enterprise-wide access up to 24 TB for centralized backed and restore – at 300 MB/s. Once installed, you can automate backup to run for days, weeks, or months without operator intervention; even run multiple backup jobs concurrently to independent logical libraries within the VTL. Restore from disk is almost instantaneous.
With serverless offload to removable tape, with an integrated or external tape drive, the V Series delivers the best of disk and tape technologies in one solution for unbeatable performance and data protection. Just 2U of rack space includes a disk-based virtual tape library with up to 12 TB with data compression, plus easy export to removable tape. For added protection, optional Data Encryption is available for both virtual tapes on disk and removable tapes, for the growing number of companies who are bound by new regulations to protect private employee, customer, client, and patient data.
