The fifth generation in AIT technology, the CY-8105 tape lives up to its legacy of truly outstanding performance. With 400 GB-800 GB capacity and 24-48 MB/s speed, the CY-8105 brings all the convenience and features of AIT to the enterprise class of backup solutions.
Superior performance is only half the story with the CY-8105. The tape subsystem is loaded with standard features that no other technology can match. The CY-8105 utilizes Advanced Metal Evaporative media, which incorporates pure cobalt metallization with a durable "diamond-like" carbon coating which decreases error rates and increases media uses up to 30,000. The CY-8105 also features a built-in head cleaner, which keeps the tape path free of contaminants and eliminates the time and expense associated with the use of regular head cleaning tapes. The innovative Memory-In-Cassette feature speeds access to data for fast, easy file restore.
