iSAN V Series 10 GbE D2D2T Backup Solutions

10 GbE D2D2T Backup

We’re taking Virtual Tape Library performance to the next level with the iSAN V Series. No matter how rapidly your capacity and site requirements are growing, and whether you have – or plan to have – a 10GbE infrastructure, iSAN V Series is built to grow with you, delivering truly exceptional performance every step of the way.

This rack-mountable iSCSI backup appliance features 16 inexpensive, ultra fast SATA II drives for 12 to 16 TB capacity and can write data in parallel, simultaneous streams to 10 virtual tape drives and up to 200 virtual tapes at speeds of up to 800 MB/s. This performance makes short work of the most demanding backupapplications. Virtual tapes can then be kept in cache for as long as you need them, for near-instantaneous restore. When you’re ready to move data off disk for long term archival storage, the Tape Offload feature will write to physical tape in serverless mode - with absolutely no impact on your host or network operations.

Virtualization gives you centralized control over backup and restore across heterogenous systems, at your location – and across locations – while maximizing resources and simplifying operations. And with iSAN V Series, you not only achieve the benefits of virtual-ization, but you get performance that even Fibre Channel can’t touch - at a surprisingly competitive price.

is iSAN  V Series Right For You?

You have – or plan to implement - 10GbE infrastructure.
High availability is critical, so you need immediate access to recent backups.
You need to add disk storage and upgrade your backup solution.
Uptime on your production servers is too critical to support direct attached tape drives.
You have legacy host systems that are not networked with newer open systems, locking you into maintaining multiple backup drives.
You need to maintain a comprehensive, enterprise-wide backup plan, but you support users who need the ability to directly backup and restore user data files.
Your disaster recovery plan requires immediate availability of backup copies as well as duplicate off-site tape copies for Fiber networked buildings in branch locations.
None of your branch locations employ IT staff, and you are responsible for maintaining secure backup copies at headquarters.
