Cybernetics’
drive status LCD has now gone remote!
iVIEW
is a standard feature with all iTape products, and is an
option available for most of our direct SCSI attached
devices. Simply connect your Cybernetics tape drive with
iVIEW to your Ethernet network, and view the backup status
window from any system on your entire network - intranet
and internet, using any web browser. Use your Backup
Window to check the status of your tape backup any time,
anywhere. |

AIT-Tape
Advanced SCSI Processor ( CY-ASP )
The
Advanced SCSI Processor (CY-ASP) allows two or more tape
drives to work together to maximize speed and capacity
while saving time and resources. It is a powerful and
flexible tool, yet very easy to use. Choose from striping,
mirroring, cascade, independent, and off-line copy/verify
modes to maximize throughput, add fault tolerance or make
duplicate tapes for off-site storage or data exchange, and
you can easily change modes without having to cycle power. |

Data
Encryption – SIMPLIFIED
Cybernetics
has just released our newest, third generation hardware
encryption option. Data is compressed before it is
encrypted so the required tape capacity is actually
decreased, typically by a factor of two to one. The entire
process of compressing and encrypting is handled in a high
performance encryption offload engine so there is no
negative impact on processing speed. The integrated
compression feature improves speed as well as capacity.
Key management is based on encryption tokens, which allow
physical control and easy visual audit.

miSAN
With the introduction of miSAN™, Cybernetics settles the
debate over NAS versus SAN. miSAN™ incorporates the best
features of NAS with the best features of SAN to strike
the perfect balance in Ethernet storage networking.
A typical NAS is affordable and very easy to
implement using the existing networking infrastructure,
but the file system overhead imposes serious speed
limitations and application compatibility constraints. A
traditional SAN can deliver exceptional performance
benefits, but the costs and complexity of the hardware,
cabling and software can be staggering. miSAN™ merges
only the best features of NAS and SAN into a powerful
storage solution that overcomes the limitations of both.
