Cybernetics' New Generation miSAN^® Solutions Pack Up to 6 TB in Only 2U

Dec 8, 2006, Yorktown, Virginia – Cybernetics is pleased to announce the release of generation two of its popular miSAN^® product line. With a long list of impressive new features, the miSAN^® is better than ever. The miSAN^® includes D2D2T backup models with Virtual Tape Library software and serverless archival to removable media, as well as OS independent iSCSI disk storage models which deliver block level storage to hosts across LAN or WAN.

Now with three Gigabit Ethernet ports and a SATA-2 backplane, the miSAN^® delivers the best performance in its class. And with support for USB disk offload for virtual disks or virtual tapes, the new miSAN^® is by far the most versatile and convenient network storage appliance on the market. By adding an intelligent interface for the most popular UPS models, we've even one-upped one of the most secure data protection strategies which incorporates the redundancy and fail-over features of RAID 5 + Hot Spare. Other new features in the backup models include a removable AIT-5 tape drive and an additional SCSI port for direct host connection.

Raw capacities range from 1TB to 6TB, so we have a solution right-sized solution for every small to medium business need.
