"You won't find a more solid and yet easy to manage SAN out there."

As Director of Managed Services at EssentiaLink, Jason Vanzin is responsible for development, implementation and consultation on all the service and solution offerings - including network management, cloud computing and virtualization - that they provide to their clients. So when it came time to choose a solution for themselves, they were already well educated on the options available - and the choice was clear.

"We decided on Cybernetics because of the competitive pricing and ease of use," Vanzin explains. EssentiaLink currently uses the popular entry-level Cybernetics SAN solution, and has sold these as well as the more powerful enterprise-level SANs. EssentiaLink's unit is a small-to-medium business SAN network storage solution that is easy to use and delivers data at up to 500 MB/s and can sustain 150,000 IOPS, while the enterprise-level solution is a more powerful SAN that provides transfer rates of up to 1.2 GB/s and 400,000 IOPS.

The benefits extended beyond EssentiaLink, improving service delivery for their clientele as well. "The ease of use impressed us the most. We are able to sell a solution and quickly have the SAN set up within minutes," says Vanzin. "We've worked with other vendors in the past, and it typically required having to pay for installation, which is very expensive."

Cybernetics' products deploy swiftly and easily, but we still take pride in being there when you need us. "Our sales guy is very responsive. He gets me the info I need, when I need it, which is great when you are trying to put solutions together for a client. The limited experience we've had with technical support (that's a good thing) is that they are very responsive." Cybernetics is so confident in the quality and performance of its products that all of its solutions are backed by free telephone technical support for as long as the original customer has the product in use.
